What mattered in those games, what made them replayable, were the characters you'd create because, well, because you were roleplaying. Old school, the first big market RPGs like Pool of Radiance, the story was the same every time, like playing out a DnD module, except on your computer, and with you in control of the (usually) 4-6 PCs. I swear, I think half of the people who say they like RPGs aren't even aware of what that means. Adventures, multipath or otherwise, are focused on the story progression more than the character progression. Roleplaying is focused on the character, the, well, the role you are playing. I do like the map, You're confusing Roleplaying with Choose Your Own Adventure. You are forced to play the char bethesda made, fallout 4 isnt a rpg , what ever faction you join doesnt matter, the only change in the outcome is the clothes and guns you get. So you are basically saying that I should keep playing NV? No way to make 4 more rpg? fallout 4 has such a poorly crafted story line forcing your decisions in such a way that there really arent any decisions.
